About We're Breastfeeding Kerry

We’re Breastfeeding Friendly Kerry aims to support and welcome breastfeeding moms when out and about in their community and when they return to work. It does this by encouraging businesses, workplaces, and community places to show and display their welcome and support of breastfeeding.

It also gives helpful advice to employers so they can support mothers who are coming back to work and want to continue breastfeeding.

Generally, mothers who breastfeed their babies out and about do so with ease. Some mothers say they feel a little self-conscious breastfeeding out and about the first time, particularly when latching baby on. More often than not, a mother will breastfeed her baby and other people around her will not take notice.
